Shower from Jamie, Lindy, & Aunt Judy

Tummy Tracker - Week 38

Week 38 update:

Sayde's intestines have accumulated a considerable amount of meconium (the code name for black, tar-like baby poop), which is usually eliminated shortly after birth and gives you your first experience with the 100-wipe diaper change. Here's what else is up: Sayde might just scratch herself in the womb as the fingernails have grown over the fingertips now. Sayde's lungs continue to mature and her brain and nerve function are working better every day. The latter two will continue to mature until she is a teenager. Sayde weighs about 6½ pounds and is around 19 or 20 inches long—as long as a duffle bag.

Notice Mom's heart shapped hands for V-Day!

The Last Supper...Craft Style. We enjoyed a meal at Macaroni Grill and decided to take a picture since this might just be the last time we go out to dinner without our little girl or a baby sitter at home!

Tummy Tracker - Week 35

Sorry it has been so long since our lasts posts! Things are getting crazy around here...and about to get even crazier, but much better :-)

This week the final touches are being added to Sayde and most of her development is going to packing on the pounds. While Sayde's movements may be becoming less jerky, she may do her final somersault in the womb soon—to put herself into the head-down position for birth. The extra layer of fat Sayde is adding will create those cute dimples on your her elbows and knees. Her liver has begun processing her waste products, so you know which organ to thank when she has his first blowout up the back of his onesie. Sayde's nails are growing so long they may curl over the tips of her tiny fingers and toes before she sees a pair of clippers. She'll be in serious need of a mani-pedi once she's born. Sayde is now about 5½ pounds and over 18 inches long.

Sayde Shower

Here are just a few pics from one of Sayde's shower. This one was hosted by Andria Knight, Jordan Lewis, Stephanie Lyon, and Meg Smith. It was a special day filled with lots of girlie stuff. Sayde got plenty of goodies from her Raleigh friends.

What an appropriate cake!

Sayde will be styling with her new little dresses:

A couple of weeks ago, Sayde was given a shower by her dear friends in Suwanee, but we don't have the pics yet so stay tuned for more :-)
